Hello,

I’m delighted to represent a talented and diverse group of people from throughout our Richmond Region who have contributed to researching, evaluating, and refining community resources specifically for our rising wave of older adults.  Business leaders, corporate representatives, local government, higher education, non-profits, and community volunteers continue to give their time and talents.  Our sponsors are true partners, not only making our many initiatives possible, but joining us in their implementation.  All to benefit our elders and future elders in Central Virginia.

As you explore our site, take note of the varied, practical, and person-centered ways the Greater Richmond Age Wave is making lives better.  Our efforts have grown from evaluating our communities for needed resources and “liveability” to helping new retirees adjust and thrive in their new life stage. Our exciting Aging2.0 chapter serves as an community for local entrepreneurs creating products and services for older adults and caregivers.  As we continue to implement our plan, it’s exciting to know the work of the Age Wave Coalition will improve the lives of older adults for decades to come.
